Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join their innovative team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is focused on the design, development, and implementation of sophisticated electrical control systems for automated manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities

• Design and program PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) for various industrial applications.
• Develop HMI/SCADA interfaces for operator control and system monitoring.
• Specify and select electrical components such as sensors, actuators, drives, and control panels.
• Collaborate with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex control system issues during commissioning and ongoing operation.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including schematics, programming code, and user manuals.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Significant experience in electrical controls engineering , specifically with PLC and HMI programming.
• Proficiency in multiple PLC platforms and industrial communication protocols.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation principles, electrical safety standards, and machinery directives.
• Experience with robotics integration is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting.
