About the Role
Our client is recruiting for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Building Services to join their team in Liverpool . This role is crucial for the design and specification of electrical systems within commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. You will work closely with architects, structural engineers, and clients to create safe, efficient, and compliant electrical installations. This on-site position offers the chance to contribute to impactful projects and develop your expertise in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical installations for buildings, including power, lighting, emergency systems, and data networks.
- Produce detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD and Revit software.
- Conduct calculations for load assessments , cable sizing , and protective device selection.
- Ensure designs meet all relevant building regulations and safety standards (e.g., BS 7671).
- Coordinate electrical designs with other building services disciplines and architectural plans.
- Assist with site inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification (Degree, HND, or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical design for building services.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Revit MEP is essential.
- Good knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage distribution, lighting controls, and fire safety systems.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards and energy-efficient design principles.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
