Electrical Design Engineer - Industrial

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Electrical Design Engineer with a specialization in industrial applications to join their growing team. You will be responsible for the electrical design of industrial plants, machinery, and automation systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of industrial facilities, production lines, and complex machinery, from conceptualization to detailed design.
• Develop electrical schematics, control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications using advanced CAD software.
• Specify and select appropriate electrical components, drives, and control systems, considering performance, reliability, and cost.
• Perform electrical calculations, including load analysis , short-circuit studies , and protection coordination .
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, NEC) and safety regulations.
• Collaborate remotely with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Significant experience (6+ years) in industrial electrical design.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and simulation tools.
• Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution , motor control, PLC systems, and automation technology.
• Experience with hazardous area classifications and associated electrical design considerations is a plus.
• Excellent remote communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
