Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Birmingham . You will be involved in the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring that all projects meet stringent quality and performance standards. Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, including single-line diagrams, control panel layouts, and wiring schematics.
• Specify electrical components, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments to gather information for design development.
• Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, installation manuals, and testing procedures.
• Support project managers and site engineers during the installation and commissioning phases.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support for existing electrical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Proficiency with CAD software for electrical design (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN).
• Knowledge of industrial automation, PLCs, and HMI systems is advantageous.
• Understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
