About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Electrical Engineer to contribute to significant infrastructure projects based in Nottingham . This role focuses on the design, planning, and implementation of electrical systems for large-scale developments, ensuring they are robust, reliable, and compliant with national standards. You will work within a hybrid model, collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to deliver critical infrastructure safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical systems for infrastructure projects, including power distribution, lighting, and communication networks.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings, schematics, and Bill of Materials (BOM) .
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and inspections to inform design decisions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate electrical designs with civil, mechanical, and structural engineering teams.
- Support the procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on infrastructure or utilities.
- Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD or similar.
- Solid understanding of power distribution systems , earthing, and protection principles.
- Experience with project management methodologies and site supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
