Our client is seeking a proficient Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their dedicated team in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and analyze electrical power systems, including distribution networks, substations, and protection schemes.
- Perform load flow studies, short-circuit calculations, and stability analyses using power system software.
- Specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, cables, and generators.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operation phases of power systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of electrical power systems.
- Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong understanding of electrical grid operations, protection coordination, and fault analysis.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, BS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities.
