About the Role

Our client seeks a skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems to join their team in Manchester . This role is integral to the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical infrastructure for various energy projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of power grids and distribution networks, contributing to the advancement of the energy sector . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Perform load flow analysis, fault studies, and protection coordination for power systems.
• Specify electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and cables.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system faults and operational issues.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems .
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT).
• Knowledge of electrical codes, standards (e.g., IEC, BS), and regulations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and grid integration is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
