Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of electrical power systems, including distribution networks and substations.
• Perform power system studies, such as load flow, fault analysis, and stability analysis.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
• Support the commissioning and testing of power systems and associated equipment.
• Ensure designs and installations comply with relevant UK and international standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate project progress.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant power systems discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in power systems engineering .
• Understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution principles.
• Familiarity with power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., BS 7671).
• Good communication and teamwork skills for a hybrid role in Nottingham .
