Electrical Engineer – Bishop's Stortford – ASAP Start – Temporary

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider on a temporary contract at a hospital in Bishop's Stortford.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer looking for consistent work, with a minimum two-month contract and the potential for ongoing work.

Job Details

• Role: Electrical Engineer

• Location: Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire

• Contract: Temporary – Minimum 2 Months / Ongoing

• Start: ASAP

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm (40 hours per week)

• On-Call: £150 per active on-call week, plus paid call-out hours

• Environment: Hospital / Healthcare

Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Carrying out electrical remedial works following five-year electrical testing.

• Distribution board maintenance, repairs and circuit relabelling.

• Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive electrical repairs.

• Electrical fault finding and general building services maintenance.

• Supporting basic mechanical, plumbing and general maintenance tasks.

• Ensuring all works comply with relevant electrical safety regulations and site procedures.

• Participating in the rotational on-call rota.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification + AM2 (or equivalent) – Essential

• 2391 Inspection & Testing – Desirable, NOT essential

• Previous electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.

• Experience within commercial buildings or healthcare environments.

• Knowledge of HTM regulations beneficial.

• IOSH or NEBOSH desirable.

• DBS check required – we can assist with arranging this.

• Willingness to support general maintenance duties.
