Location: Nottingham Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Type: Permanent, full-time

The opportunity A fast-growing M&E and low carbon consultancy is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join its Nottingham head office. You’ll design electrical systems across a varied project mix and help shape low carbon solutions, working alongside the directors who founded the business.

What you’ll do

• Design electrical services: LV distribution, small power, general and emergency lighting, fire alarm, access control and containment

• Carry out cable sizing, voltage drop and protection calculations

• Produce lighting designs and calculations

• Contribute electrical design to low carbon projects, including PV, battery storage and EV charging

• Prepare drawings, schematics and specifications

• Coordinate with mechanical and design teams in BIM, and support site visits, testing and commissioning

What you’ll need

• Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering

• Building services electrical design experience, ideally in a consultancy

• Good knowledge of BS 7671, BS 5839 and BS 5266

• Amtech, DIALux/Relux and AutoCAD; Revit MEP an advantage

• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
