Electrical Field Service Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Field Service Engineer to cover the Norwich region. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical equipment at customer sites. You will act as the technical point of contact for clients, providing excellent service and ensuring the optimal performance of installed systems. The ideal candidate possesses strong diagnostic abilities, a customer-focused approach, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and troubleshooting. This role requires frequent travel within the designated region and offers the opportunity to work with diverse technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and technical issues on-site.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
• Conduct equipment testing and calibration according to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all service activities, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the internal technical support team to resolve complex issues.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field service or technical support role.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical and electronic systems.
• Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned geographical area.
