About the Role

Our client is seeking a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their established team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is essential for ensuring the reliable operation of all electrical systems and machinery within the manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, performing repairs, carrying out preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards. This is a crucial on-site position that requires a deep understanding of electrical systems in an industrial context.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance and inspections on plant machinery and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including issues with motors, control panels, and power distribution.
• Install new electrical equipment and ensure it is properly commissioned.
• Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.

Requirements

• Qualified Electrician with proven experience in an industrial maintenance setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motor controls, and HMI systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation related to electrical work.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Commitment to working safely and efficiently on-site in Stoke-on-Trent .
