Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their industrial operations team in Stoke-on-Trent . This is a vital on-site role responsible for ensuring the continuous and safe operation of all electrical systems and machinery. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair faults, and implement preventative measures to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical understanding of industrial electrical systems and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Install and commission new electrical equipment and machinery.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations .
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent trade.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems , PLCs, and motor drives.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using various testing and diagnostic equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
