Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning and upkeep of electrical systems and equipment at their facility in Liverpool . This hands-on role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and safety by performing routine maintenance, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs. You will be an integral part of the facilities or production team, responding effectively to breakdowns and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime. Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns promptly and efficiently.
• Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret complex electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent using CMMS software.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related trade.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification is essential.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in electrical maintenance, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems , control circuits, and fault-finding techniques.
• Experience with low and high-voltage systems and associated safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good problem-solving skills.
