Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their industrial operations team in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all electrical equipment and systems within our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing faults, and implementing improvements to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency. This is a critical role for maintaining our production capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical machinery and control systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in production equipment, PLCs, and associated systems.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensure swift resolution to minimize production impact.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities and reduce operational disruptions.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent apprenticeship.
• Experience (3+ years) in maintaining industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Experience with PLC systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and variable speed drives.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to fault finding.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to strict working procedures.
