Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the optimal functioning of their industrial facilities. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of electrical equipment and systems. You will play a critical role in minimizing downtime and ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all electrical machinery, control systems, and power distribution equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently to minimize production interruptions.
• Install, test, and commission new electrical equipment and systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics , blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related trade (e.g., HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3).
• Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and HMI interfaces.
• Experience with 3-phase power systems and control panel wiring.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Excellent practical skills and a commitment to safety.
