The Opportunity
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will support the development of advanced electrical power generation and distribution technologies, contributing to the definition of future system architectures and technology strategies.
Working within highly collaborative multidisciplinary teams, you will be involved in concept development, system modelling, requirements definition, technology demonstration and technical leadership activities across complex engineering programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition and development of electrical power system concepts and architectures.
- Produce technical requirements, specifications and performance criteria for new electrical systems and products.
- Support concept studies, modelling, simulation and demonstrator programmes.
- Lead technical investigations and solve complex engineering challenges through structured analysis and engineering judgement.
- Drive project definition activities including requirements capture, proposal development, stakeholder engagement and funding support.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, suppliers, research organisations and technology partners.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers across the business.
- Contribute to engineering standards, best practice initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Support the development of future electrical technology roadmaps and supply chain capability.
