About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join their team on a fully remote basis. This role is crucial for the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems for a range of critical infrastructure and energy projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of power networks, utilizing advanced simulation tools and deep technical knowledge. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed studies and analyses of electrical power systems, including load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis.
- Design and specify components for high-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution networks.
- Develop protection schemes and coordinate protective relays for power systems.
- Utilize power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory) for design and analysis.
- Collaborate with project teams, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders on system planning and operations.
- Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship on power system engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical power systems engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of power system protection , stability, and dynamics.
- Proficiency in industry-standard power system analysis software.
- Experience with renewable energy integration and grid modernization projects is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills suitable for remote collaboration.
