Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Electrical Project Engineer to join their team in Derby . This role is crucial for managing the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects from conception through to completion. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all electrical aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate electrical engineering projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against milestones.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure effective project communication and collaboration.
• Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer or in a similar project management role.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, equipment, and installation practices.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and software (e.g., MS Project).
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a team environment in Derby .
