Electrical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organized Electrical Project Engineer to join their dynamic team in Reading . This role involves managing and executing electrical engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, providing technical leadership and overseeing all electrical aspects of project lifecycles. This hybrid position offers a balanced approach to work, combining essential site and office presence with remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively to projects across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical engineering projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project documentation, including technical specifications, risk assessments, and project plans.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project progress.
• Oversee the procurement of electrical equipment and materials, managing supplier relationships.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, commissioning, and problem-solving as required, supporting projects in and around Reading .
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical project management or engineering.
• Proven experience in managing electrical infrastructure projects, including design, installation, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
