About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role involves the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems for industrial applications, ensuring optimal performance and safety. You will work on a variety of projects, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing and production facilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, play a key role in technical problem-solving, and uphold the highest standards of engineering practice within a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify electrical components and systems, including power distribution, control circuits, and instrumentation.
- Develop detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using CAD software.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new electrical system installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in existing systems to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with mechanical and automation engineers on integrated system designs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
- Understanding of control systems , PLCs, and industrial automation principles.
- Familiarity with electrical safety standards such as BS 7671.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
