Electrical Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Electrical Systems Engineer to join their established team in Sunderland . This is an on-site position critical for the development and implementation of sophisticated electrical systems for key industrial projects. You will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and testing electrical infrastructure, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. The role demands a hands-on approach and close collaboration with manufacturing, project management, and other engineering disciplines on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for industrial applications.
• Create detailed electrical schematics , wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Conduct power system analysis and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the manufacturing and commissioning phases.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth integration of electrical components.
• Perform site visits and provide technical support to field engineers as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems design and implementation.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Solid understanding of power distribution, control panels, and PLC systems.
• Experience with testing and commissioning of electrical equipment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
