About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and technically proficient Electrical Test Engineer to join their research and development team in Cambridge . This role is focused on the development, execution, and analysis of comprehensive electrical tests for new products and systems. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our client's innovative electrical solutions before they reach the market. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed test plans and procedures for electrical components and systems.
- Set up and operate test equipment, ensuring accurate data acquisition and analysis.
- Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing of electrical products.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and document findings clearly and concisely.
- Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot issues and verify corrective actions.
- Maintain test equipment and calibration records, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical testing and validation.
- Proficiency with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators).
- Experience with automated test systems and scripting languages (e.g., LabVIEW, Python).
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and circuit analysis.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
