Electrical Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Electrical Test Engineer to join their team in Norwich . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's electrical products through rigorous testing and validation processes. You will develop test plans, execute tests, analyse results, and contribute to the improvement of product designs and manufacturing processes. Working closely with design and production teams, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality electrical solutions to the market. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and procedures for electrical components and systems.
• Set up and operate test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
• Perform functional, performance, and environmental testing of electrical products according to specifications.
• Analyse test data, identify defects or performance issues, and generate detailed test reports.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to troubleshoot issues and recommend design improvements.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical testing and validation.
• Proficiency with common electrical test equipment and measurement techniques.
• Understanding of electronics, circuit theory, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with automated test systems (ATE) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in reporting and documentation.
