Electrical Test Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Electrical Test Engineer to join their growing product development team, working remotely to support operations in Norwich, Norfolk, UK . This role is vital for ensuring the quality, safety, and performance of our electrical products through comprehensive testing and validation. You will design, implement, and execute test procedures, analyse results, and collaborate with design engineers to resolve any defects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed test plans and procedures for electrical products and systems.
• Design and build custom test fixtures and equipment as required for specific testing needs.
• Perform electrical safety and performance testing according to relevant standards and regulations.
• Analyse test data, identify trends, and generate comprehensive test reports.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve product issues identified during testing.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical testing and validation.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards (e.g., IEC, UL) and testing methodologies.
• Ability to interpret complex schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment , with strong communication for virtual collaboration with teams in Norfolk .
