Electronics Technician / Trainer (Full Training Provided)

Electronics Technician / Engineering Trainer (Full Training Provided)

Witham, Essex

£40,000 + Full Training Provided + Industry Certifications + Pension + Death in Service + UK Travel + Long-Term Career Development

Are you an Electronics Technician, Test Technician, Production Technician or Electronics Engineer with experience of electronics manufacturing and ideally knowledge of IPC standards?

Do you want to pass on your knowledge, develop new skills, and build a rewarding career training engineers and technicians across some of the UK's most innovative industries?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist engineering training provider that works with businesses across aerospace, defence, aviation, medical devices, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor technology and consumer products. Their training helps organisations develop highly skilled workforces, maintain internationally recognised IPC standards and support continued growth within the electronics manufacturing sector.

With a purpose-built training facility in Witham, the organisation delivers internationally recognised IPC certification programmes alongside practical electronics manufacturing training. Due to continued growth and increasing demand from industry, they are looking to expand their established training team with the addition of a new Electronics Trainer.

In this role, you will deliver a mixture of practical and classroom-based training covering electronics manufacturing processes, IPC standards, PCB assembly, soldering techniques, cable and wire harnessing, inspection methods and associated engineering best practices. Full training will be provided, including professional trainer development and industry-recognised IPC certifications, meaning no previous teaching or training experience is required.

This role would suit someone with a hands-on electronics manufacturing background who wants a career change whilst remaining within an industry they know and enjoy. Whether you've worked as an Electronics Technician, Production Technician, Test Technician, Manufacturing Technician or Electronics Engineer, you'll use your knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes-and ideally your understanding of IPC standards-to help develop the next generation of engineers and technicians.

One of the most attractive aspects of this opportunity is the variety. Rather than working on the same products, systems or manufacturing environment every day, you'll gain exposure to a huge range of industries, technologies and applications. One week you could be delivering IPC certification to engineers from an aerospace organisation, the next supporting technicians from a medical device manufacturer or advanced electronics business. You'll build long-term relationships with customers, help organisations improve quality and manufacturing standards, and play a direct role in supporting the future growth of UK engineering and manufacturing.

• Support engineers, technicians, inspectors and manufacturing personnel
• Receive full trainer development and advanced IPC certification training
• Deliver training from the Witham facility and occasionally at customer sites
• Work with customers across aerospace, defence, medical, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing sectors
• Occasional UK travel and overnight stays, typically planned well in advance

The Person

• Electronics Technician, Electronics Engineer, Test Technician, Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician or similar background
• Hands-on electronics manufacturing industry experience
• Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering, cable and wire harnessing, inspection methods and electronics manufacturing processes

• Looking to move into training, teaching or technical instruction
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
