Employment Law Solicitor

About the Role

Our client is recruiting an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to join their busy practice in Southampton . This role involves advising a wide range of clients, from SMEs to larger organisations, on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. You will be responsible for guiding clients through complex employment issues, drafting employment contracts and policies, and representing them in employment tribunal proceedings, contributing to the firm's strong reputation in this specialist field within the South Coast region.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise employers on all aspects of employment law, including disciplinary procedures, grievances, and terminations.
• Draft and review employment contracts, consultancy agreements, and company policies .
• Represent clients in employment tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and TUPE matters.
• Provide strategic advice on HR-related issues, restructures, and redundancies.
• Conduct employment law training sessions for clients and internal staff.
• Ensure clients remain up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience in employment law .
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
• Proven experience in handling employment tribunal litigation.
• Excellent drafting and advisory skills.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and provide practical, commercially-focused advice.
