Employment Law Specialist

About the Role

Our client, a leading national employer association based in Wolverhampton , requires a knowledgeable and dedicated Employment Law Specialist to provide expert advice and support to its member organisations. This position involves advising on a broad spectrum of employment law issues, including complex employee relations, HR policies, tribunal claims, and strategic workforce planning. You will be a trusted advisor, helping businesses navigate the intricacies of employment law and maintain best practices. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to influence employment practices across various sectors from our West Midlands hub, with a hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on all aspects of UK employment law to member organisations.
• Assist in drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Represent employers in employment tribunals and negotiate settlements.
• Conduct employment law training sessions for member companies.
• Advise on corporate restructuring, TUPE, and redundancy programmes.
• Keep abreast of legislative changes and case law developments in employment law.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in employment law.
• Proven experience advising employers on contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
• In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and tribunal procedures.
• Excellent advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret complex legal issues and provide practical, commercial solutions.
• Strong client relationship management skills.
