About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Employment Lawyer to join their reputable legal practice in Glasgow . This role involves advising employers and employees on the full spectrum of employment law matters, including contentious issues such as unfair dismissal and discrimination, as well as non-contentious advisory work. You will be responsible for managing a varied caseload and building strong relationships with clients, providing strategic and practical legal solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on all aspects of employment law, including contracts, policies, and disciplinary procedures.
- Represent clients in employment tribunals and court proceedings.
- Conduct internal investigations and advise on grievance and disciplinary matters.
- Negotiate settlement agreements and manage dispute resolution processes.
- Stay updated on employment legislation and case law, providing proactive advice.
- Deliver training sessions to clients on employment law compliance.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in employment law.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and tribunal procedures.
- Proven experience in advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercially focused advice.
- Experience in drafting employment contracts and policies is essential.
