Employment Lawyer

About the Role

Our client, a reputable firm in the Bristol area, is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to lead its dedicated employment law practice. This role involves advising a wide range of clients, from SMEs to larger corporations, on all aspects of employment law. You will handle contentious matters, such as tribunal claims and employment disputes, as well as providing comprehensive advice on non-contentious issues like contracts, policies, and redundancies. This is a significant opportunity for an employment law specialist to shape and grow a key service area within a respected firm, working in a flexible, remote-first capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise employers on all aspects of employment law, including contracts, policies, and procedures.
• Represent clients in employment tribunal claims and employment-related litigation.
• Provide strategic advice on complex issues such as discrimination, TUPE, and dismissals.
• Draft and review employment contracts, settlement agreements, and restrictive covenants.
• Conduct internal investigations and assist with disciplinary and grievance processes.
• Deliver training sessions to clients on employment law compliance.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrable expertise in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
• Proven track record of successfully representing clients in employment tribunals.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
• Excellent client management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a client caseload remotely.
