About the Role
A prominent law firm in Leeds is looking for a skilled Employment Lawyer to manage a diverse range of employment law issues for its corporate clients. You will provide expert advice on employment contracts, policies, dispute resolution, disciplinary procedures, and TUPE regulations. This role is crucial in helping businesses navigate the complexities of employment law, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk. The position offers significant career growth potential within a supportive and collaborative department, serving businesses throughout Yorkshire and beyond, with the flexibility of a hybrid working model based out of our Leeds offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on contentious employment matters, including unfair dismissal, discrimination, and redundancy claims.
- Draft and review employment contracts, staff handbooks, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in Employment Tribunals and other dispute resolution forums.
- Provide guidance on day-to-day HR issues, employee relations, and management training.
- Conduct employment law training sessions for client HR departments and management.
Requirements
- Solicitor or Barrister with at least 6 years of post-qualification experience in employment law.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
- Experience advising both employers and employees is advantageous.
- Strong advisory, drafting, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent client care and communication abilities.
