Endpoint Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Endpoint Security Specialist to strengthen their security defences from their Plymouth office, offering a hybrid working model. This role focuses on protecting all endpoints, including laptops, desktops, servers, and mobile devices, from malware, intrusions, and other threats. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimising endpoint security solutions, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective. This is a vital role for ensuring the security and integrity of our client's devices and data in an ever-evolving threat landscape, contributing to a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security solutions, such as EDR, antivirus, and host-based firewalls.
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and investigate potential threats and incidents.
• Develop and implement policies for endpoint device security, including patching and configuration management.
• Respond to endpoint security incidents, including malware infections and unauthorized access.
• Perform regular health checks and performance tuning of endpoint security tools.
• Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
• Stay informed about emerging endpoint threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing and securing endpoint devices .
• Strong knowledge of endpoint security technologies like EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), antivirus, and host-based intrusion prevention systems.
• Experience with device management tools and policies.
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and their security configurations.
• Ability to analyse security logs and investigate alerts.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA CySA+) are beneficial.
