Endpoint Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled Endpoint Security Specialist to bolster their defenses in Randburg . This role is crucial for protecting user devices, servers, and other endpoints from malware, unauthorized access, and other cyber threats. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing endpoint security solutions, analyzing threat data, and responding to security incidents affecting endpoints. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in endpoint protection technologies and a proactive approach to securing the organization's devices, with the advantage of remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain endpoint security solutions , including antivirus, EDR, and HIPS.
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and investigate suspicious activities and potential threats.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for endpoint security management.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments on endpoints and ensure timely patching and remediation.
• Assist in the development and execution of incident response plans for endpoint security events.
• Provide technical support and guidance on endpoint security best practices to users and IT staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in endpoint security or cybersecurity operations.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise endpoint protection platforms (EPP) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and their security configurations.
• Understanding of malware analysis and threat intelligence.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for security issues in Randburg .
