Endpoint Security Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Endpoint Security Specialist to join their fully remote security team. In this role, you will be responsible for the security and protection of all endpoints, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices, across the organisation. You will deploy, manage, and optimize endpoint security solutions to defend against malware, ransomware, and other advanced threats. This position is vital for maintaining a strong security posture in a distributed work environment, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of user data and company assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Develop and enforce endpoint security policies and configurations across all devices.
• Monitor endpoint activity for signs of compromise and perform forensic investigations.
• Manage antivirus, anti-malware, and host-based intrusion prevention systems.
• Respond to endpoint security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Stay updated on emerging endpoint threats and vulnerabilities to proactively enhance defenses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in endpoint security management or cybersecurity operations.
• Proficiency with EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
• Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and their security configurations.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation is beneficial.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
