Energy Efficiency Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and client-focused Energy Efficiency Consultant to join their team in Derby . This role involves conducting energy audits, identifying opportunities for energy savings, and developing strategies to improve energy performance for commercial and industrial clients. You will play a key role in helping businesses reduce their environmental impact and operational costs through the implementation of sustainable energy practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of building systems, energy management principles, and relevant regulations, coupled with excellent communication and advisory skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive energy audits and assessments for a diverse range of clients.
• Analyze energy consumption data and identify key areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Develop detailed recommendations for energy efficiency measures, including technology upgrades and behavioral changes.
• Prepare professional reports and presentations outlining findings, proposals, and payback calculations.
• Advise clients on government incentives, grants, and compliance requirements related to energy efficiency.
• Support clients through the implementation phase of energy efficiency projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in energy management , energy auditing, or building performance analysis.
• Knowledge of building physics, HVAC systems, lighting, and industrial processes.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and assessment methodologies (e.g., ESOS, TM44).
• Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and provide expert advice to clients.
