About the Role
Our client is seeking a sharp and insightful Energy Policy Analyst to join their team in Reading . This hybrid role involves researching, analyzing, and advising on the complex landscape of energy policy and regulation, both nationally and internationally. You will play a critical role in shaping the company's strategic direction by providing expert insights into policy developments, their potential impacts, and recommending appropriate responses. Working closely with government affairs, strategy, and operational teams, you will contribute to navigating the evolving regulatory environment of the Energy industry, balancing collaborative office engagement with focused remote analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of current and emerging energy policies, regulations, and market trends.
- Evaluate the implications of policy changes on the company's operations, investments, and strategic objectives.
- Prepare concise and informative reports, policy briefs, and presentations for senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Engage with policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders to gather intelligence and advocate for the company's positions.
- Monitor legislative developments and provide timely updates and recommendations to internal teams regarding the energy sector .
Requirements
- Degree in Public Policy, Economics, Environmental Science, Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy policy analysis, research, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex policy documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with the UK and European energy policy frameworks and markets.
