About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking organization within the Energy sector , is seeking a meticulous Renewable Energy Policy Analyst to contribute to their strategic initiatives from their Edinburgh office. This role is instrumental in researching, developing, and advocating for policies that support the growth of renewable energy sources across the UK. You will engage with various stakeholders, including government bodies, industry associations, and research institutions, to shape a sustainable energy future. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on current and emerging renewable energy policies and regulations.
• Develop policy recommendations and position papers based on evidence-based research and industry trends.
• Monitor legislative developments and assess their potential impact on the renewable energy market.
• Engage with policymakers, industry representatives, and other stakeholders to present research findings and advocate for policy positions.
• Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Contribute to strategic planning and business development activities related to renewable energy projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, research, and advocacy, preferably within the energy or environmental sector .
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, markets, and policy frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and qualitative research skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively in Edinburgh and beyond.
