About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Energy Storage Systems Engineer to join their innovative, remote-based team. You will be responsible for the design, specification, and performance analysis of these systems, ensuring their seamless integration and optimal functionality. Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer energy storage systems (ESS) configurations, including battery types, inverters, and control systems.
- Develop technical specifications and performance requirements for ESS projects.
- Analyze system performance data, troubleshoot issues, and recommend optimizations for efficiency and longevity.
- Collaborate with project managers, electrical engineers, and external vendors to ensure successful system integration.
- Stay current with emerging energy storage technologies , market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input for new energy storage project opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design, engineering, or integration of energy storage systems .
- Strong understanding of battery technologies (Li-ion, flow batteries, etc.), power electronics, and grid integration principles.
- Proficiency in system modeling and simulation software relevant to energy systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities for remote work.
- Familiarity with renewable energy project development and grid connection processes is beneficial.
