Key Responsibilities
- Analyze energy market data , including supply, demand, and price movements across different commodity types.
- Develop and maintain predictive models for energy price forecasting and volatility assessment.
- Monitor geopolitical events, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting energy markets.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on market analysis and trading performance for senior management.
- Collaborate with traders to identify arbitrage opportunities and hedging strategies.
- Support the execution of trading strategies and ensure compliance with market regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in an analytical role within the energy sector or financial markets.
- Strong quantitative and statistical modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel and ideally Python or R.
- Excellent understanding of energy markets, commodities trading, and risk management principles.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information concisely.
