English Lecturer

Our client, a well-established further education college, is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Lecturer to join its teaching team.

The Role

As an English Lecturer, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons.
• Teaching learners across a range of abilities and educational backgrounds.
• Supporting students in developing their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
• Preparing learners for English qualifications and examinations.
• Assessing, monitoring and recording student progress.
• Providing additional support and guidance to help learners achieve their targets.
• Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental activities.

The Ideal Candidate Our client is looking for someone who:

• Holds a relevant degree or qualification in English.
• Has a recognised teaching qualification, or is working towards one.
• Has experience teaching English within a further education setting (desirable).
• Demonstrates excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Can engage, motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
