About the Role

Our client is looking for a reliable Environmental Services Assistant to contribute to the cleanliness and upkeep of facilities in Belfast . This role is integral to ensuring a safe, hygienic, and pleasant environment for all users. You will perform a variety of cleaning and sanitation duties, playing a key part in upholding the reputation of the organisation. This hybrid role offers flexibility and the chance to work within a dynamic team, supporting the smooth operation of services across Northern Ireland , contributing to a positive and clean atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, public spaces, and restrooms.
• Ensure all designated areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
• Manage and dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
• Assist with specialised cleaning tasks as required, such as deep cleaning or event preparation.
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any shortages or equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

• Experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is advantageous.
• Good understanding of cleaning methods and the safe use of cleaning products.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• A strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Physical capability to perform cleaning duties, which may include some manual handling.
• Willingness to adapt to flexible working arrangements as needed for the hybrid model.
