About the Role
Our client is recruiting for an Environmental Services Technician to join their facilities team in Bristol . This role is fundamental to maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment across their premises. You will be responsible for a broad range of cleaning, sanitation, and waste management duties, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position plays a crucial part in the operational efficiency and positive image of the organisation, contributing to overall workplace well-being and regulatory adherence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and deep cleaning tasks in all assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces.
- Implement effective sanitation protocols to ensure high levels of hygiene throughout the facility.
- Manage and dispose of general waste and recycling in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Assist with special cleaning projects, such as floor care and window cleaning, as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in cleaning, janitorial services, or environmental services roles.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment, including safe handling practices.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to a commercial or institutional setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good time management skills.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
