Estimator Barnsley, South Yorkshire | Salary dependent on experience

H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting an Estimator for an established engineering and construction business in Barnsley.

You’ll join a collaborative team, preparing estimates and supporting tenders across a varied range of projects. This would suit someone who enjoys working with technical drawings, building accurate costs and developing relationships with clients.

The role

Review enquiries, drawings and specifications.

*

Prepare detailed estimates and competitive tender submissions.

*

Liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to gather information and clarify requirements.

*

Identify commercial opportunities and potential risks.

*

Manage multiple enquiries and work to submission deadlines.

*

Maintain client relationships and support new business opportunities.

What we’re looking for

*

Previous estimating experience within engineering, manufacturing or construction.

*

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

*

Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.

*

Confident communication and organisational skills.

*

Experience within steelwork, fabrication or metalwork would be advantageous.

*

A relevant technical or engineering qualification is desirable.

Salary dependent on experience.

Permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

Early finish on Fridays.
