Event Catering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized and motivated Event Catering Manager to join their dedicated team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless execution of all catering services for a variety of events. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, managing their needs from initial consultation through to the successful delivery of the event. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional client-facing skills, and a strong understanding of event logistics and catering operations, contributing to a reputation for outstanding service in the Tyne and Wear region.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements, offering tailored catering solutions.
• Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of event catering, including staffing, menu selection, and equipment.
• Supervise on-site catering teams, ensuring high standards of service and presentation are met.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction within financial parameters.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality and timely delivery of services and goods.

Requirements

• Proven experience in event management or catering management, preferably in a client-facing role.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• A solid understanding of food safety regulations and catering best practices.
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
