Event Catering Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and organised Event Catering Manager to oversee the planning and execution of catering services for a wide range of events in Edinburgh . This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, coordinating with kitchen and service staff, and ensuring all catering aspects run smoothly from initial brief to final delivery, contributing to the success of memorable events across Edinburgh .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all client communications from initial enquiry through to post-event feedback.
• Develop detailed event catering plans, including menus, staffing requirements, and logistics.
• Liaise closely with chefs to finalise menus and ensure all dietary requirements are met.
• Coordinate on-site catering execution, managing the service team and ensuring seamless delivery.
• Oversee budget management for assigned events, ensuring profitability and cost control.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service throughout all events.
• Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event debriefs with staff and clients.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Event Manager or Catering Manager within a reputable catering company or venue.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage, menu planning, and event logistics.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Superb client-facing communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during events.
