About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Catering Manager to oversee and elevate their remote catering operations. This is a pivotal role responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional culinary experiences for a variety of events, all managed from a remote setup. You will work closely with clients to understand their vision, budget, and dietary needs, translating these into bespoke catering solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a passion for food and service excellence, adept at managing logistics and teams virtually to ensure seamless event execution from concept to completion, contributing to the growth and reputation of our client's innovative catering services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of event catering, from initial client consultation and menu planning to on-site execution and post-event evaluation.
- Develop creative and cost-effective menus that align with client preferences, dietary restrictions, and current catering trends .
- Source and manage relationships with high-quality suppliers, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery of ingredients and materials.
- Oversee event staffing, including hiring, training, scheduling, and managing catering teams to deliver outstanding service.
- Maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle budgeting, financial forecasting, and invoicing for catering services, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event catering management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and service techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- Proficiency in event planning software and standard office applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs, and maximize revenue.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
