About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Event Catering Manager to lead their catering services in Brighton . This role requires a blend of on-site supervision and remote planning to ensure the successful delivery of diverse catering events. You will be responsible for managing the entire catering process, from client consultations and menu planning to team leadership and on-site execution. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of event catering, including client liaison, menu design, and budget control.
- Lead, train, and motivate the catering team to deliver exceptional service.
- Oversee the procurement of supplies, inventory management, and waste reduction strategies.
- Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations .
- Coordinate with event venues and other suppliers to ensure seamless event execution.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Event Catering Manager or similar role in the hospitality sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Demonstrated ability in menu planning, costing, and budget management.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively both on-site and manage tasks remotely.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
