Event Catering Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and organized Event Catering Supervisor to support their catering operations for a variety of events in the Oxford area. This role is key to ensuring the smooth running of service, supervising a team of catering assistants, and delivering an excellent experience for clients and guests. You will be responsible for overseeing front-of-house aspects during events, from setup to service and breakdown, ensuring all catering elements are executed to the highest standards and contributing to the overall success of each occasion.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct catering staff during events, ensuring efficient service delivery.
• Assist with event setup, including table settings, buffets, and beverage stations.
• Manage food and beverage service, ensuring quality presentation and timely replenishment.
• Ensure all catering areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Address guest queries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of event spaces post-service.
• Provide training and guidance to junior catering staff as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within catering or hospitality is required.
• Strong understanding of event service standards and customer care.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
