About the Role
Our client seeks a creative and highly organized Event Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of events for their distinguished clientele in Cardiff . This role is integral to delivering exceptional event experiences, from initial planning and conceptualization through to on-site management and post-event analysis. You will be responsible for coordinating logistics, managing budgets, and ensuring that every event reflects the client's brand and objectives, contributing significantly to the vibrant Hospitality & Tourism scene in Wales. This position requires a hands-on approach and a meticulous attention to detail, working closely with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute a diverse range of events, including corporate functions, conferences, and social gatherings.
- Manage event budgets effectively, tracking expenses, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring profitability.
- Source and coordinate with suppliers, venues, and contractors to secure necessary services and resources.
- Develop event timelines, detailed production schedules, and run sheets to ensure smooth execution on the day.
- Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs, provide updates, and ensure their vision is realized.
- Oversee on-site event operations, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and manage event staff and volunteers.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as an Event Coordinator or in a similar event management role.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event planning software and standard office productivity suites.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
