About the Role
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Cardiff . This role is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of events, from corporate functions to private celebrations, ensuring they run smoothly and exceed client expectations. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, manage vendors, and coordinate all logistical aspects of event production. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to balance office-based planning with on-site event execution, making it ideal for a proactive individual who enjoys a varied and engaging work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and A/V setup.
- Liaise with clients to understand event requirements, objectives, and budgets.
- Source and manage relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Develop detailed event schedules and timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Provide on-site support during events, troubleshooting any issues that arise and ensuring a seamless experience for guests.
- Manage event budgets effectively, tracking expenses and processing invoices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in event planning or coordination, preferably within the hospitality or event management industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and vendors.
- Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by event schedules.
- A proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and event execution.
